This fire department has volunteers and part-time employees—and from time to time—we have an opening. If we have any job openings, and you wish to apply, please complete and submit the application below. Please ensure you review the Job Posting and verify that you are qualified for the position.

Requirements

  • Complete the attached application and return it to a chief officer
  • Volunteers Must be 18 years of age and have a North Carolina Driver Licenses.
  • Paid Staff must be 21 years of age and have a North Carolina Driver Licenses Class B
  • Paid Staff must have the following Certifications NC FF 2, NC EVD, NC D/O Pumps, NC EMT
  • Live within 2 miles of the district line if you are volunteering
  • Have an acceptable driving record.
  • Cannot be a convicted felon. We will review misdemeanors on a case-by-case basis.
  • It is recommended to attend a few trainings session, so other members can meet you.
    Meetings/Training are every Thursday night starting at 19:00. Our business meetings are
    biweekly followed by training.

Please note

The department will conduct a background check. No application will be reviewed until the fire
department has reviewed your Criminal History and driving record. No Exceptions!


Once the applicant has obtained all required information, your application will be reviewed and voted
on by the membership. Once voted by membership it will be up to two weeks to confirm that all
paperwork and insurance is completed. You will not get your equipment until all of this has been
completed.

  • NC Office of State Fire Marshal Transcripts: Detailed Training Transcript, Summary Transcript, and Classes Remaining Transcript
  • These can be found and printed off the NCOSFM Website http://www.ncosfm.gov/osfm-24 –Copies of your ICS (NIMS) Certifications: 100.c,200.c,700.b,800.d, and others if you have them. If applicants are unable to submit these electronically, they must provide copies in person.
  • Copies of all your Fire or Emergency Service Related Certifications (All Certifications)
  • Copy of your EMT Certification
  • Copy of your Driver’s License
