Covering areas of Interstate 85 highway to the rural road, Efland covers approximately 36 square miles with a population of over 6000 people in residents. While their behind-the-scenes work often goes unnoticed, their efforts are heroic. From the department’s early days, Efland Fire has been a cornerstone of public safety in this rural area. The department was founded by a group of residents who
saw the need for fire protection in a growing community. Since then, they’ve expanded their mission to include emergency medical and rescue services, prioritizing community safety. The unwavering commitment to serving their neighbors has fostered a strong community pride.
